We were commissioned to create clean, consistent corporate headshots for Namib Minerals’ leadership team while they were in New York. They’d seen our work on LinkedIn and wanted that same polished look.
During planning we recommended expanding the brief. In addition to headshots, we produced contextual environmental portraits and group images to support website copy, investor communications, and press. The team was also marking a milestone at Nasdaq the following day, so we documented that event as well.
We sourced a contemporary location close to their hotels, reviewing options on Gigster and Peerspace and running recce visits across Midtown. The final choice, 57 West 57th Street, offered natural light and a neutral, modern backdrop that fit the brand.
On the shoot day we brought a digitech, assistant, and hair and makeup to keep the day smooth, especially with several executives fresh off international flights. We ran a fast, portable studio setup for uniform headshots, then shifted into environmental and group portraits.
The next day at Nasdaq MarketSite, we captured the formal moments and the personal ones, with family, friends, and colleagues present.
