How We Work
A professional headshot photographerand everyone you need around them.
For smaller sessions it's David and Christine. For larger jobs we bring in the people the job needs -- hair and makeup artists we work with regularly, a digital tech, and assistants on set. Every job is scoped properly in advance so the right team is in place from the start.
We shoot on-location at your office or at Redline Studios on Wall Street. Brooklyn studio also available. Whatever the setup, the approach is the same: planned, professional, and with no surprises on the day.
David — Photographer
Light, composition, and lens. David handles the technical side of every session from setup through to the final frame.
Christine — Director
Actor, screenwriter, casting background. Christine directs every session. Her experience coaching performance means she's particularly good at getting a natural expression from someone who doesn't love being photographed.
Hair & Makeup
We work with a small number of trusted hair and makeup artists who know how we shoot. Sourced and coordinated by us, available on request for any session.
Digital Tech
On larger jobs, a digital tech tethers the camera to a monitor so images can be reviewed in real time as they come in -- by us and by you if you want to see them. They manage file organisation and backup throughout the day.
Assistants
On bigger team days, assistants help with lighting setup and keep things moving while David is shooting and Christine is directing.

Executive Headshot FAQ
Common questions from executives, teams, and the people organising them
What does the process look like?
A call beforehand to understand your brief — who you're shooting, what the images are for, what style you're after. On the day, Christine directs while David handles light and composition. Most people are surprised how quickly it goes and how relaxed it feels.
How long does a session take?
It depends on the job. Some sessions give us a full hour per person — time for hair and makeup, an environmental shot, and a backdrop portrait. For large team days we can move through 35 people at 10 to 12 minutes each and still deliver consistently strong results. We scope the timing properly in advance so the day runs without friction.
Do you shoot on-location at our office?
Yes, and we're well practised at it. We bring a full studio setup — lights, stands, backgrounds. We carry the insurance required for commercial buildings in New York and coordinate with facilities teams as standard. We've shot in large boardrooms, glass-walled offices, and genuinely tight corners. Whatever the space, we make it work.
What should I wear?
Whatever you'd wear to an important meeting. Neutral tones, simple layers, nothing too busy or distracting. Bring a second option if you're not sure — we'll advise on the day. The goal is to look like yourself, not like you dressed up for a photo.
Is retouching included?
Yes. Natural retouching — skin, colour, lighting — is included on all delivered images. We don't over-retouch. The point is to look like you, at your best. You'll always be able to recognise yourself.
How many images will I receive?
You'll receive a private proof gallery and select the images you want retouched and delivered. Most executives choose 3 to 5. For teams, we deliver a consistent set per person alongside a master gallery for your records.
Can the images be used across different platforms?
Yes. LinkedIn, company website, press releases, annual reports, speaker profiles, internal communications. We deliver in formats that work across every platform and context — portrait, landscape, square — whatever you need.
How often should I update my professional headshot?
Every two to three years as a general rule, or after a significant change in role or appearance. A headshot that no longer looks like you — or that carries the wrong seniority for your current position — isn't doing the job it should.
